Frankfurt and Marburg with Dad

For Christmas my Dad came to visit me. We got a hostel in Frankfurt, but then spent Christmas day in Marburg. It was raining, but luckily only a bit, so we walked up to the castle and looked through the museum.

They had a lot of really cool things from past occupants of the castle.

We walked back down through the city and I showed him around.

The next day we spent some time in Frankfurt. This is the Frankfurter Dom, where they were having a mass.

We went to the Shirn art museum to an exhibition called “Privat” that was really cool. It was looking at how photography and film, as well as the internet and social media have turned private life 1) into a thing of the past to some degree, and 2) art. It was super interesting.

Then we walked around Frankfurt some more.

In the afternoon, we went to an architecture museum that was across the river.
There was a great view from the river bank of the city.

There was a really cool bridge as well.

We also saw a really small smart car.

The tallest building in Frankfurt had really cool yellow lights on the top.

Overall we both had a really great time, and my next post will be about our time in Munich.
